OUR PROGRAM

Heritage Care CNA Training provides a Minnesota Department of Health–approved Nurse Aide Training & Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment as Nurse Aides in accordance with federal OBRA regulations and Minnesota statutes.

The program consists of the required theory instruction, skills laboratory practice, and supervised clinical training completed in an approved healthcare setting. Instruction is delivered by qualified instructors in compliance with MDH requirements and focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors necessary to provide safe, effective, and person-centered care.

Resident rights and advocacy

Communication and interpersonal skills

Infection prevention and control

Safety and emergency procedures

Basic nursing skills

Personal care skills

Mental health and social service needs

Care of cognitively impaired residents
